About Jillana Marshall

  • Jillana Marshall holds a B.F.A. in Illustration from Art Center College of Design (1980). After five years as a freelance editorial illustrator, she returned to Big Bear Lake in 1985 and began taking private commissions — portraits, interior design work, and large-scale murals for clients including Snow Summit/Bear Mountain Ski Corporation, Sizzler, and Oscar De La Hoya. She works primarily in oils and watercolors.
  • Jillana also holds a California Teaching Credential from the University of Redlands and taught high school art and ceramics for 25 years before retiring from teaching in 2018. Today she focuses on Plein Air painting and murals, and her work is on display at Wild Coyote Gallery in the Village of Big Bear Lake.
